The Domain
Family estate of 16 Ha, Bernard Aline and Florian represent the third and fourth generation who operates the estate. Passion and know-how have passed down from generation to generation.
The estate’s vineyards are located on the south-southeast slope of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation in Bédarrides. This is an extraordinary terroir shaped by the Rhône and swept by the mistral, a terroir with a unique microclimate.
The clay-limestone soils are covered for a large part of pebbles, characteristic of the terroir of Châteauneuf du Pape. Sandy and stony soils, the wines draw their finesse and elegance, the pebbles contribute to the body and the structure.
The vineyards, on average 60 years old, have low yields and produce high quality grapes.
On the estate, the three great Rhone grape varieties for the reds are represented. The main one is Grenache, which gives the warmth and typicality of wines from the South of the Rhône Valley; Syrah brings a great aromatic richness and Mourvèdre ensures high quality aging wines. For whites, the vineyard is composed of Grenache Blanc ensuring roundness and creaminess; Clairette giving freshness and floral aromas; Roussanne and Bourboulenc complement this grape variety to bring complexity and typicity of wines.
All these different grape varieties on these different terroirs make the singularity of the vineyard and the richness of the wines produced.
Bernard, Aline and Florian run the vineyard in the greatest respect for the soil and the environment. The wines of the estate reflect the expression of the terroir and express the characteristics of the grape varieties.
Joined for two years by their son Florian, Bernard and Aline develop bottle sales and today market their wines in France and abroad.
Vineyard/Philosophy
Our priorities as passionate winemakers are to maintain the biodiversity of our soils as much as possible, let our wines express their terroir and harvest healthy grapes while mastering the yields.
The vines of the domain are conducted in a sustainable way, reasoned in order to extract all the qualitative potential for as long as possible.
The plowing done on all our parcels of the vineyard soils the soil, maintain the life and the biodiversity.
In the cellar during winemaking, our desire is to reveal the various soils, their characteristics and their complexities. Each vintage is therefore reflected in a specificity that is highlighted.
We vinify our white and red wines with no yeast selected, only indigenous yeasts. The grapes are vinified in concrete vats, frustoconical wooden vats, so that they keep their freshness and their fruits. The aging in barrels of our whites and a cuvee of Châteuneuf du Pape rouge brings a complexity and more depth to the wines.
